We currently have an opening for an Environmental Professional (Supervisor) in our Whitehorse office.
As an experienced professional, you have a background in environmental science and bring experience in environmental consulting in the Yukon. You are an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and leadership potential who thrives in a dynamic work environment. You will provide project management and technical expertise on a variety of environmental projects.You will lead the growth of our environmental team, and supervise staff in our Whitehorse office. You have existing networks in the Yukon and enjoy working in an office environment. You will lead with a forward-thinking approach that promotes a team environment to improve overall group performance and client service.
What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the development of the team, and mentoring and supervise staff in our Whitehorse office.
  • Generating new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
  • Managing projects, including budget and schedule management, client liaison, safety planning, technical leadership, and project team coordination.
  • Writing work plans and proposals, technical reports, and communications for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborating with a dynamic team of environmental scientists and engineers across various geographies.

What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in an environmental discipline (e.g., biology, environmental science, geography, earth science, or soil/reclamation science).
  • Project management experience with 10+ years of experience in consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Northern markets, including key client sectors and regulatory process.
  • Effective leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with local Indigenous governments and communities is an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence.
