Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Hire, supervise, train, and support the front desk team, while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Guest Services: Ensure exceptional customer service, and handle guest concerns promptly.
  • Check-In/Check-Out Process: Oversee efficient processes, train staff on reservations and payments, and monitor room turnover.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain an organized front desk area, ensure policy compliance, and manage reservation systems.
  • Financial Management: Handle transactions, balance cash drawers, and monitor/control front desk expenses.
  • Communication: Foster effective team and interdepartmental communication, and relay important information promptly.
  • Security and Safety: Enforce measures to safeguard guest information and property, and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Reports and Record-Keeping: Generate and analyze reports on performance and satisfaction and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • Completion of a post-secondary program (degree or diploma) in hospitality or hotel management
  • 3 years' experience supervising a guest services team in a hotel setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to develop, engage and lead individuals and teams
  • Adaptable to employee/guest needs and situations as they arise
  • Problem solving and judgement
  • Financial acumen

Job requirements: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts in a continuous operation
  • 40 hours per week

Salary: $47,840 per annum
