Reliability Engineering Supervisor

Victoria’s Eagle Gold Mine poured its first gold in September 2019 and is approaching commercial production at the end of Q2 2020. Future and current mines, like Eagle Gold, will be a strong contributor to the Yukon and its citizens for many years to come.
Victoria is looking to hire the position outlined below for our Eagle Gold Mine located in Yukon:


Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Reliability Engineering Supervisor is responsible for managing the Reliability Team and carrying out condition monitoring of the Eagle Site on all rotating equipment by on-line and off-line date acquisition techniques and data analysis. To maintain various condition monitoring equipment and also the data in the computerized system. To propose measures and improve reliability & availability of plant rotating equipment to minimize failures. Responsibilities are noted below which will include but are not limited to:
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and carry out condition monitoring of the Eagle Site rotating equipment by online/offline data acquisition techniques and data analysis; To maintain various condition monitoring equipment and also the data in the computerized system; To propose measures to improve reliability/availability of plant rotating equipment and minimize failures.
  • Manage, implement and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs - including on-site data collection, analysis, and determination of recommendations for rotating equipment.
  • Lead all RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis)
  • Identify opportunities to improve client plant reliability, availability and/or performance, collaborating with clients to turn to their advantage.
  • Provide support, mentoring and technical reviews for colleagues in the group in predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Execute maintenance strategies and programs for clients whilst seeking opportunities to improve them utilizing the latest in data analytics techniques.
  • Lead and Manage all investigations, providing technical input for equipment failures and troubleshooting projects: alignments, balancing, and RCA.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree Preferred and/or relevant trade qualification.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience of managing and implementing predictive maintenance strategies, including vibration analysis, NDT, lubrication, thermography, alignment and balancing.
  • Fully certified ISO VCAT2 TCAT / LCAT certification highly regarded.
  • Recent experience in the Mining or Utilities industries is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in the latest data analytics tools and techniques and a good working knowledge of a wide range of rotating / reciprocating equipment.
  • Experienced user of CMMS systems.
  • Experience with RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance)
  • Client focused with good relationship building skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient individual who nonetheless enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
  • High level of English literacy, report writing skills, and computer proficiency.
  • Committed to process compliance in practice management systems.
