CAMP MANAGER
Fox Exploration Ltd. is accepting applications for CAMP MANAGERS, as outlined below, to join our team for the 2026 field season at an exploration project based near Dawson City, Yukon. Fox Exploration is an exploration services contractor providing camp management and support to clients in the mineral resources sector. Job Overview
Camp Managers of our remote access job sites are often referred to as the “Swiss Army Knives” of camp as they require the use of multiple skillsets and incredible resourcefulness in ensuring the smooth operation of camp. The Camp Manager will work directly with the Project Manager or Senior Geologist. Accommodations at camp, meals and travel to and from the job site will be provided.

Responsibilities
The Camp Manager will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks to help ensure camp and camp equipment is maintained while providing assistance and support for other camp departments. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the mobilization and construction of camp
  • Assisting camp tear down and demobilization
  • Completing basic maintenance and repair of camp structures and equipment (basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical)
  • Maintaining camp communication systems (radios, repeater, satellite internet…)
  • Ensuring camp remains organized and clean
  • Ordering and maintaining inventories of camp consumables such as fuel & lumber
  • Completing supply runs from camp to nearby towns
  • Overseeing camp support staff and acting as the camp liaison with the head office
  • Providing camp orientation to all incoming personnel
  • Enforcing Camp Rules
  • Working with the camp’s First Aid Attendant in the design and implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Providing support to other departments such as geology and drilling personnel
  • Working directly with the Project Manger or Senior Geologist in the coordination and logistics of personnel and supplies going to and from camp.

Requirements and Preferences

  • Valid Driver’s License and off-road driving experience
  • Valid PAL preferred (required for wildlife monitoring)
  • Basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Basic computer skills including excel spreadsheets, scanning, email
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work; lift at least fifty pounds (50 lbs)
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours
  • Level 1 First Aid certificate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Self-driven with a work ethic to go beyond what is expected
  • Previous experience as a Camp Manager or Maintenance role is a major asset
  • Trade certification in any related discipline is an asset

Project activities are anticipated to begin mid-February and run through October with various start dates available for qualified candidates
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
