Client Support Service Manager

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Health & Social Director, this position establishes the systems and processes that aims to promote, protect, and enhance the well-being of TTC citizens through a continuum of quality, accessible, and appropriate health and social services. This includes facilitating a Case Management approach and Communication Strategy with all key service providers within the Departments of TTC. Coordinates comprehensive health care and community-based services, home visits, and assessments. Provides mentorship to all department representatives who are involved in case management. As the TTC Client Support Service Manager, you will be overseeing Case Managements planning and follow up review, Child Welfare, Social Assistance, Adult Protection, Employee Training, support services and programming for TTC Safe Home, and supervise outreach staff. In this role, you will make a positive difference in the lives of children and families within Teslin Community.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • · The key responsibility of the incumbent to develop the system and processes that will guide case management throughout TTC;
  • · A key responsibility of this position is to develop and mentor staff in the process to assist clients who are in need of personal, family or financial assistance by leading by example;
  • · The incumbent will provide mentorship for all departmental representatives involved in case management in order to develop skills/capacity in interviewing, listening, analyzing, researching, case planning, collaborative problem solving and critical thinking.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master of Social Work that includes assessment and counselling skills is essential, providing individual and group work
  • Social work experience and/or practicum in providing services to families, children and individuals.
  • Prior child/welfare/intervention experience within the last three years may be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of five years working in a First Nation environment providing social services to clients using a Case Management model.
  • Experience working as a Case Manager is a preferred asset.

NOTE: If your Bachelor of Social Work Degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through any member of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Service of Canada (ACESC)
