Fox Exploration Ltd. is currently accepting applications for CAMP COOK ASSISTANTS who wish to join our team for the 2026 field season at an exploration project based near Dawson City, Yukon. We are looking for hire for both full-time and relief rotation positions. Fox Exploration is an exploration services contractor providing camp management and support to clients in the mineral resources sector. Job Requirements:
You will play a key role with our exploration support crew by assisting the 1st Cook with food preparation, cleaning and catering services at our exploration camp near Dawson City. This position reports directly to the 1st Cook. Transportation to and from the job site along with room and board during the work rotation will be provided.
Cook's Assistant Responsibilities:
- Help prepare daily meals for up to 40 personnel.
- Daily cleaning of common areas including the kitchen, dining and shower facilities.
- Help receive and organize food orders.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
- Follow Food Safe procedures help maintain a safe workplace.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Cook’s Assistant, Prep Cook or Cook is preferred although training can be provided
- A quick learner with a team-oriented approach to work
- Familiarity of FoodSafe practices
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work long shifts.
Salary: Based on experience.
Preference will be given to individuals located in Yukon, BC or Alberta due to travel logistics.
