Summary
Northern Vision Development (NVD) is looking for a director who thrives on turning plans into action and complexity into clarity.
As a key member of our senior team, you’ll be the connector - linking strategy, processes, and people to ensure the organization runs smoothly and stays focused on what matters most. From strategic planning and governance to communications and funding, your work will strengthen how NVD operates, collaborates, and grows.
This is a role for a builder and problem solver: someone who can see the big picture, anticipate what’s needed next, and create structure that helps others succeed. You’ll shape how NVD works behind the scenes - creating alignment, discipline, and shared momentum across our diverse portfolio.
What Does Your Success Look Like?
- Strategic Planning: NVD’s long-term goals are translated into clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and accountable action across departments.
- Grants and Funding Programs: Funding opportunities are identified and successfully secured, with compliant reporting and strong alignment between grant initiatives and NVD priorities.
- Risk and Insurance: Corporate and property risks are proactively managed through comprehensive, cost-effective programs that protect people, assets, and operations.
- Policy Governance: Policies are current, consistent, and clearly communicated - supporting accountability and compliance.
- Communications: NVD speaks with one voice - messages are intentional, well-crafted, and aligned with our values, shaping how employees, partners, and communities understand our work and impact.
- Records and Information Management: Corporate information is organized, secure, and accessible, with disciplined record-keeping that protects confidentiality and meets regulatory standards.
- Administration: Administrative systems are efficient and scalable, supporting executive operations and enabling leaders to focus on strategic priorities.
- Organizational Cohesion: Teams across the company are connected through consistent processes, shared information, and a culture of accountability and collaboration.
What You Bring to the Role
- Experience leading corporate services functions such as governance, policy, communications, and/or organizational processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate strategic planning and performance monitoring.
- Strong grasp of governance and compliance frameworks.
- Skilled at building trusted relationships across executives, partners, and teams.
- Clear, professional communicator - skilled in writing, reporting, and presenting.
- Ability to lead through influence and collaboration, earning trust across teams to turn plans into action.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to change.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to think critically to address current challenges while positioning the company for what’s ahead.
