Title: Data Entry Transcriber
Term: Temporary Employment from December 15 – 31
Hourly Pay: $24 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week with flexible shifts
Location: Yukon work from home
Lumberfolk Forest Consultants is seeking a Data Entry Transcriber to join their team for a very short 15-day contract. The Transcriber will be required to review hand-written forestry field cards that have been scanned to pdf documents and input the data into the Survey123 app utilizing a tablet. The Transcriber will be responsible for working independently from home to complete the work by December 31st. A laptop computer and tablet will be provided to complete the work. Workdays and hours are flexible as long as the job gets complete.
Duties
Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Onboarding
- Working independently to complete a fixed amount of work
- Utilizing a tablet to input data
- Reviewing field card data from a pdf
- Asking questions when uncertain

Lumberfolk Forest Consultants Ltd. was founded in 2024. Lumberfolk provide forest management and land use planning services within all forest types across Canada. The company works with landowners to develop and design land use plans that meet their environmental, social, and economic goals and objectives . Lumberfolk have experience designing inventories and methodologies for data collection, summarizing results and mapping for operational planning, analyzing scenarios, reporting on assumptions, limitations, risks and sensitives, developing monitoring plans, and making recommendations. Services also include block layout, reconnaissance, timber cruising, forest inventory data collection, silviculture surveys, and field trainings. Based out of Whitehorse, YT, the Lumberfolk team is looking for a Data Entry Transcriber to complete the digital data entry of a forest inventory.
Qualifications
Mandatory qualifications for this position include:
- Strong attention to detail when reading numbers and letters
- Good with numbers, keeping numbers in your head, and then typing them out accurately.
- Strong computer skills and able to use a tablet
- Familiarity with forest attributes is an asset
