Position: Drill Helper

Wage: $24.00/hour to $28.00/hour, based on experience, plus overtime and footage bonuses.

Job Requirements
Language: English
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in surface drilling. If no experience can apply for our Training helper program.
Security and Safety: Drug test - Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses paid by the employer
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Overtime required, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Drilling machine
Specific Skills: Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist with manual operations, rig set-up and tear down
- Assist with pulling and adding drill rods
- Empty inner tube containing core samples and place in core boxes
- Marking depth of core recovery while ensuring no contaminants
- Perform general maintenance on equipment as directed
- Refuel drill and water pumps, run and maintain waterline
- Keep drill platform clean and organized
