Our team provides expertise in project management, environmental monitoring, contaminated sites, vegetation and wildlife monitoring, and technical support to various local industries.

Shift: 12-hour days, alternating 1 week on/1 week off

Are you passionate about protecting our natural resources and eager to make a real impact? Dena Cho Environmental is seeking a motivated and reliable Environmental Monitor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll conduct field assessments, collect and analyze environmental samples, and help ensure the health of our air, water, soil, and ecosystems.
This is a field-based position that will require the successful candidate to work in Faro, Yukon.
What You’ll Do:

- Conduct routine environmental monitoring using specialized equipment and techniques
- Collect samples of air, water, soil, and biological specimens for laboratory analysis
- Analyze data and interpret trends to assess environmental impacts
- Maintain databases and facilitate accurate reporting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and on-site management to promote safe environmental practices
- Adhere to safety procedures and field program schedules
- Provide brief written reports and support field staff with training on monitoring protocols
Who You Are:
- Experience in environmental monitoring, fieldwork, or related areas
- Environmental Monitoring Certificate (asset)
- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to travel to remote locations and work outdoors in all weather
- Standard First Aid, snowmobile/ATV certification, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to use handheld GPS
- Have a valid drivers license with no major infractions in the last 3 years
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Outdoor fieldwork in all weather and terrain
- Lab work with strict safety protocols
- Office tasks including data analysis and reporting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable with bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing
