Job TasksPerforming opening duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, and replenishing condiments.Assisting management and hosts to meet, greet, and seat guests, and issuing them food and beverage menus.Know the menu well and be familiar with the food and drinks they serve and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.Provide information on daily specials to patrons, encourage upsells (desserts, beverages, coffee/tea after a meal)Serve food and beverages to guests.Enter orders in the POS SystemCommunicate with BOH team whenever needed to ensure a smooth serviceChecking on guests to establish satisfaction with product and overall experience and providing management with feedback.Collect payment by cash, debit, credit, gift card & enter it into POS SystemClear & clean tables according to food safe & company training standards.Sort dishes & dispose of leftover foodMaintain a clean work & payment stationReceive, deliver & process payment for room service ordersReceive & package take-out ordersAlways ensure clean workspace & clean room service cartsPromptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.Efficiently clean and set tables, ensuring the dining room is always service ready.Performing closing duties such as sweeping and vacuuming and preparing linens for collection by laundry service.
