Job Title: Hotel Houseperson (NOC 65310)
Wage: $23.71/hour
Primary Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties:
Cleaning guest rooms, hallways, public areas, restrooms, and showers, ensuring all spaces meet hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Replacing bedding, making beds, replenishing toiletries & laundry.
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
Stocking housekeeping carts and linen closets and maintaining inventory of supplies.
Supporting Front Desk as needed.
Reporting and returning lost or found items.
Restocking hand soap, hand towels, and other restroom items.
Guest Services:
Delivering requested items (e.g., towels, extra bedding) to guest rooms.
Responding to guest inquiries, requests, or concerns professionally.
Assisting guests by performing bellman duties and providing directions/information as needed.
Minor Maintenance and Event Setup:
Reporting damage or maintenance issues to the appropriate team.
Cleaning sidewalks and exterior areas for guest safety and appearance.
Assisting in event preparation and arranging chairs, tables, and other items as required.
Performing basic interior & exterior maintenance tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good physical condition to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks (e.g., cleaning, crouching, bending).
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures.
Basic English proficiency required for communication and following instructions for established procedures.
Prior housekeeping or general maintenance experience preferred but not required.
