G-P Distributing is a locally owned and operated food service distributor that has been servicing the Yukon and North Western NWT since 1995. Class: Permanent, Full-time
Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour - Depending on experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours ( Week Days Early Morning)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The chosen applicant will be trained and expected to perform the following tasks:
- Maintain accurate inventory by ensuring all goods are entered into the receiving module and are tagged appropriately
- Ensure that all overstocked tags are properly filled out and the product has been put in its location on the shelf.
- Locating bins
- Prepare and print labels. Replace any labels as needed
- Ensure all the product barcodes can be scanned using the handheld
- Deal with new items & products that do not scan
- Update item codes and item descriptions in Sage
- Specials still on the shelves need to be reviewed and shared with the Office, Sales and Purchasing teams every Friday morning.
- Every Wednesday morning, send a list of expiring products to the Purchaser.
- Running inventory counts as per the procedure
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities during inventory counts.
- Escalate any issues to the Purchaser if a resolution cannot be found
- Inventory Analytics - pull reports
Required Skills/Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Computer Information Systems education preferred
- Experience in the warehouse, retail, or food industry, but not required
- Must be able to handle a busy environment and prioritize workflow appropriately.
- Ability to train others and work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Sage 100 is considered an asset
- First Aid, Food Safe, WHMIS would be an asset
- Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and as part of a team
- Competent with computers and Microsoft Office software
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively under demanding time constraints and pressure.
