Reporting to the Manager, Information Systems, the Network Analyst provides advanced-level planning, maintenance and hardware support for the technical infrastructure (Cisco Switching, Routing, Wireless and Server platforms, EMC storage technology, VMWare vSphere and View environments) and telephone systems (Cisco Telephony). Provides end user support for physical and virtual desktop workstation operating systems and standard desktop software. The focus of this position is managing IT technical infrastructure, as opposed to application-level support of clinical systems software.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
• Extensive knowledge of networked computer systems, equipment, and peripherals;
• Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise system management and administration;
• Proficient in assembling, installing, and testing a wide range of IT and network hardware;
• Demonstrated project management skills, with experience leading complex IT initiatives;
• Ability to manage enterprise-scale corporate networks, ideally within a healthcare environment;
• In-depth experience with: Virtualization technologies; Windows operating systems; TCP/IP networking;
• Experience managing modern telephony systems, including cabling, switches, and ongoing maintenance;
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to direction from various stakeholders;
• Demonstrated history of maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge; recognized as a subject matter expert for information and telephone systems;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess issues quickly and implement effective solutions;
• Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; effective team collaborator;
• Ability to train and support clients in adopting new technologies;
• Proficient in conducting research and producing clear, concise documentation and reports;
• Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
The successful candidate is required to have Completion of post-secondary diploma/degree program in Information Systems, Communication Systems, or a related field of study – two (2) years; experience managing medium-sized corporate networks, preferably in a health care environment; experience working with current computer hardware, networks, and operating systems; experience implementing and maintaining large IT system infrastructure, preferably in a health care environment; experience working with current computer hardware, networks, and operating systems; experience maintaining medium to large scale TCP/IP networks; experience managing large facility telephone systems. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), designation highly recommended although not technically required; network administration skills with client/server based computer systems; experience managing MEDITECH systems technical operations; knowledge of Cisco telephone systems and experience working in a cross cultural environment are desired.
