Job Requirements:
Education: College or University degree – Mechanical engineering-related fields of study
Language: English
Security and Safety: Drug test- Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Experience:
- 5+ years of mechanic experience in the field or shop setting.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems + Diesel engines.
- Basic 12volt + 110volt power systems wiring + troubleshooting.
- Experience cutting and crimping hydraulic hoses.
- Ski-steer and loader operation experience
- Basic computer skills
Duties and Main responsibilities:
- Inspect and examine drill machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmissions, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and diesel engines.
- Adjust drill machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Operate machine tools such as grinders and welders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, and set-up of drills and drill shacks.
- Guarantee the completion of the monthly maintenance plan on all drills.
- Guarantee the mechanical readiness of the equipment required in the projects.
- Comply with the drilling equipment availability indicator.
- Establish and monitor the effectiveness of the critical equipment contingency plan.
- Ensure compliance with the procedures and instructions while performing all tasks.
- Prepare the reports requested by the interested areas.
- Follow up on the machining of parts and parts from suppliers.
- Verify that the mechanical spare parts that are going to projects are fully functional.
- Keep the equipment updated according to corporate standards.
