We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Sales and Customer Care point person to join our remote team. About the Role
As the first point of contact for potential clients, the Sales and Customer Care role is key in delivering outstanding customer support planning and booking amazing Yukon experiences. This position requires local knowledge, confidence, initiative, and excellent communication skills to engage leads and manage bookings from start to finish.
You will report to the Operations and Development Manager and work closely with team members to support group and custom travel requests.
This is not a high-pressure sales role. It is a structured, service-focused role where accuracy, responsiveness and organization matter more than aggressive selling.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Sales
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and recommend suitable tours.
- Respond to inquiries about pricing, availability, and package details by phone and email.
- Manage daily lead responses by sending proposals, calendar invites, or acknowledgment emails outlining next steps and response timelines.
- Follow up consistently on open leads using email, phone calls, or automation tools.
Booking and Documentation
- Coordinate customer reservations and bookings with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare, review, and finalize trip documents to ensure all details are correct.
- Collaborate with agency teams on group and custom travel proposals and bookings.
Customer Experience and Support
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear and proactive communication.
- Monitor and respond to client feedback in a constructive and timely manner.
Team and Product Coordination
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, suppliers, and partnership opportunities.
- Maintain organized digital records using cloud-based file management systems.
Sales Representation and Market Development
- Participate in occasional trade shows, sales missions, and industry conferences, either virtually or in person.
- Promote Yukon Tours and build industry connections to increase brand visibility and client engagement.
- Collaborate with partners and internal teams on sales strategies and market outreach initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Yukon tourism, including geography, culture, and travel services.
- Experience in customer service or sales, preferably in the travel or hospitality sector.
- Confidence in working independently and managing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and online booking tools.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and intuitive work style.
Assets
- Background in the travel industry.
- Fluency in a second or third language.
- Located in the Yukon.
