Business Coordinator

Yukonstruct is looking to hire a full-time Business Coordinator to support its entrepreneurial services. This is a key role that involves providing one-on-one guidance to entrepreneurs in the Yukon, helping them navigate the challenges of business development and grow their ventures. The role is integral to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.The Business Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Entrepreneurship.

Compensation: $25-$28 per hour, based on experience and skills.
Overview:
The Business Coordinator will play a key role in supporting entrepreneurs through various stages of their business journey. This position involves offering tailored coaching, developing and managing mentorship programs, and contributing to community programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business coaching, program management, and community engagement.

Responsibilities
Entrepreneur Pathfinding & Advisory Support (40%)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for entrepreneurs accessing Yukonstruct programs and services, helping them navigate available supports and identify the best pathway for their business.
  • Work closely with the Director of Entrepreneurship to coordinate client flow, scheduling, follow-ups, and preparation for advisory sessions.
  • Maintain accurate client records and track engagement, outcomes, and participation to support reporting and continuous improvement.Support outreach and engagement with entrepreneurs across Yukon communities, including occasional travel.

Program Coordination & Delivery (30%)

  • Manage and oversee the Entrepreneurial Fundamentals Program, ensuring high-quality delivery, participant engagement, and program outcomes.
  • Assist in the planning, intake, management, and implementation of Yukonstruct programs, including mentorship initiatives, bootcamps, and other cohort-based programs.
  • Manage participant registration, scheduling, logistics, and communication to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, including facilitators, guest speakers, and mentors, to support program execution.
  • Monitor program outcomes and gather participant feedback to support continuous improvement and program effectiveness.

Workshop & Curriculum Support (30%)

  • Assist with the design, development, and continuous improvement of workshops and learning materials aligned with Yukonstruct’s entrepreneurship pipeline.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of workshop facilitators and guest speakers.
  • Oversee logistics for in-person and virtual workshops, including preparation of materials, registration management, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of curriculum, handouts, and participant resources to enhance learning outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in program coordination, business support, or community-based programming
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience supporting workshops, training programs, or community events
  • Comfort working with databases, tracking systems, and reporting tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with entrepreneurs, advisors, and partners
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship, small business, or startup ecosystems is an asse
