Position: Office Administrator - Office Manager
Location: Whitehorse, YT
Industrial Electric Services is looking for a Full Time Office Administrator and Book Keeper leading into an Office Manager position. The main duties are outlined below:
Administrative
- Manage work orders
- Manage electronic and physical filing system
- Assist Vice President with administrative tasks such as typing, quotes, managing work schedules, tender submissions, customer correspondence
- Answer telephone and relay messages
- Greet customers and carry out over counter transactions
- Manage emails and correspondence
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
Book-Keeping
- Cash handling and over counter transactions
- Accounts payable and receivable, including credit control
- Reconcile bank and account statements
- Manage credit accounts and applications
- Manage bank accounts, cash flow, petty cash and card transactions
- Process Payroll
Experience/Skills Required
- Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Office Package
- Knowledge of Sage Business Vision, or other Sage packages desirable
- Strong communication skills both oral and in writing;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with tact and diplomacy;
- Ability to provide strong customer service
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong administrative support skills and abilities
- Good organizational skills.
- Experienced multi-tasker and self-directed problem solver
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, while providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
Rate of pay will be based on work experience. Standard work week is 40 hours per week.
