Nahanni River Adventures and Canadian River Expeditions is Northern Canada's premier wilderness tourism operator. Based in Whitehorse, YT we offer multi-day expeditions by canoe and raft across the Arctic.
We are seeking an energetic individual with excellent communication and organization skills to join our team in the role of Wilderness Expedition Sales and Office Manager

Responsibilities include managing the first point of contact for people considering a wilderness holiday, facilitating the sales and booking process and supporting management of logistics and operations during our summer season.
Duties include overseeing the sales team’s direct communications with guests, invoicing and payments; maintaining our online database; and liaising with guides, journalists, creatives, companies and jurisdictions we do business with.
Working with the owners and operators you will be directly responsible for guest service and identifying leads, customer issues and ensuring all our guests experience a northern experience that is "a cut above." This will include creation of communication assets; management of our digital brand image and communication strategy; collaborating with media and public relations; and daily management of the sales team.

The following qualifications and experience will be considered an asset in your application.
Previous experience working in the Yukon and demonstrated knowledge of the North’s natural and cultural history
Post secondary education / university degree, preferably in environmental sciences, history, business or communications related
Previous experience working in the tourism industry and customer service
Previous practice in outdoor leadership
Previous experience working in a sales role
Demonstrable interest in and passion for conservation and the natural world
International work experience
Fluent English with working proficiency in other languages (German, French, Spanish)
Previous experience of working in remote settings
Previous experience in journalism / other communications roles
Proven record of self-driven project management
Digitally literate; experience working in web design, content creation and social media management
Demonstrated written communication skills and creativity
Experience in marketing and public relations
Experience in data management, analysis and reporting in the context of customer relationship software
Demonstrable skillset in creative writing and public engagement
A growth mindset with a desire to expand skillsets and embark on new projects
