Operating Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:30-4:30, Friday 8:30-4:00
Teegatha’Oh Zheh (TOZ) is looking for Support Workers to join our team. TOZ is a non-profit organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful lives as valued citizens of a vibrant and inclusive community. Support Workers play a key role in fostering belonging, autonomy, and connection for the people we serve. As part of a collaborative team, you will provide direct support grounded in the unique strengths of each individual.
Position Overview:

  • Provide direct support to adults with intellectual disabilities, with a focus on choice, belonging, and meaningful community roles.
  • Support individuals in areas such as daily routines, communication, personal care, wellness, relationship-building, and community engagement.
  • Use person-centered approaches in day-to-day support, planning, and documentation that reflect each person’s strengths, needs, and aspirations.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team grounded in shared values, open communication, and adaptability.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive environment that celebrates strengths, fosters belonging, and encourages people to reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in a social services field, combined with one year of related work experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience)
  • Standard First Aid Certificate and Level "C" CPR certification required.
  • Valid Yukon Driver's License with 3-year driver's abstract and a claims experience letter from your insurance provider required.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check required.
  • Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, trauma-informed practice, or other sector-related areas (e.g. disability support, cultural safety) is considered an asset.
