Position: Order Picker
G-P Distributing is hiring an Order Picker. The primary function of this position is to pick accurately, effectively and rapidly and pack and label customers' orders. Individuals must work as a member of the team to accomplish the objectives set out by the Warehouse Manager.
Job Type: Warehouse Class: Full-time (80hrs per Bi-weekly)
Hourly Pay: $19-$22 per hour based on experience
Hours of Work: Varied Shifts and schedules NOC Code: 65102
Key responsibilities
• Quickly and Accurately pick, pack and label customer orders
• Perform general warehouse activities including loading and unloading of transport trucks
• General warehouse duties such as cleaning, organizing and basic maintenance and repairs
• Quality Control of Products while picking paying particular attention to damaged, poor quality or expired product
• Accomplish the objectives set out by the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications
• Ability to work well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment
• Self-motivated
• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to comfortably lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs
• Must carry a valid class 5 driver’s license
• Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations
• Past work experience in a warehouse and/ or food service environment is an asset
