s.no architecture is a boutique firm located in Whitehorse, Yukon, and we’re growing! We are on the hunt for a Senior Intern Architect or Architect who is a versatile, design-obsessed problem-solver who thrives on variety, an architectural Swiss Army Knife per se.
Our studio is small by design (currently a mighty team of seven), fast-paced, fun, flexible, and fiercely design-oriented. We tackle a diverse mix of projects, including mixed-use urban buildings, residential, commercial, and cultural projects across various scales. Although we aim to add skilled individuals to our team, it is essential that we maintain a close-knit and integrated design office where there are no silos. Every staff member is involved in all aspects of a project from inception to completion, including documentation, architectural design, rendering, layout, graphic design, and project management. We all even take turns being the hero who restocks the coffee.
We take pride in making architecture accessible and enjoyable, while also highlighting its importance in our community. The happiness of our studio is of utmost importance. The ideal candidate would be independent, self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude, while also being able to collaborate effectively within a tight-knit team environment. We require an individual who is passionate about design and comfortable stepping into any phase of a project, eager to learn with support from our Principals and the rest of the team.
