Task DescriptionThe Thomson Centre is seeking mature, caring individuals to provide one-on-one friendly visits to older adults living in our care facility. Your visits will offer residents the chance to socialize, share stories, and enjoy activities beyond our regular recreational programs.
Minimum Age18
Skills NeededGood interpersonal and active listening skills
Patience, empathy, and reliability
Comfort working with individuals with cognitive or physical limitations (training provided)
The ability to work independently and accept supervision
ResponsibilitiesProvide regularly scheduled visits with a designated resident
Offer companionship and conversation
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Time Commitment1–2 hours weekly or bi-weekly, for at least 6 months
