3Pikas is a boutique firm located in Whitehorse, Yukon, and we’re growing! We are on the hunt for a Junior and Intermediate Planners who is a versatile, design-obsessed problem-solver who thrives on variety, an urban planner Swiss Army Knife per se. If you are a Senior Planner with extensive experience, we also want to hear from you.
Our studio is small by design (currently a mighty team of two), fast-paced, fun, flexible, and fiercely design-oriented. We tackle a diverse mix of urban and community-focused projects, including subdivision master plans, feasibility studies, engagement, and mixed-use industrial/commercial/residential planning and development projects across various scales. We work at all stages of a project, from inception through execution to completion.
Unlike other firms, 3Pikas has adopted a genuine hands-on approach to planning and development. Curbside Development–a residential development arm of 3Pikas–builds high-quality rental and market housing to accommodate Yukon’s growing demand for housing.
Although we aim to add skilled individuals to our team, it is essential that we maintain a close-knit, integrated office with no silos. Every staff member is involved in all aspects of a project from inception to completion, including documentation, design, layout, graphic design, report writing, and project management.
We take pride in making planning accessible and enjoyable, while also highlighting its importance in our community. The happiness of our studio is of utmost importance. The ideal candidate would be independent, VERY self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude, while also being able to collaborate effectively within a tight-knit team environment.
