Water Truck Driver

Water Truck Driver Duties

• Fill water truck at water source
• Drive truck to drill site and pump water into water tank
• Remove any accumulating ice from water truck
• Ensure water trucks is driven in a safe manner
• Report on mechanical issues immediately
• Some mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repair purposes
• Ensure there is always water available for the drill. The number of trips required in any 12-hour shift (day shift and night shift) will depend on distance from water source to project, size of water tank, number of drills in operation.

Certification Requirements

• Valid Class 3 Driver's license, at least 3 years of driving experience, with a clean driving record.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• WHMIS certificate.

Experience and Skills

• 1 year experience driving a water truck
• Able to work in remote camps.
• Zero tolerance on drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
• Honest and reliable with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

• From $32 to $35/hr plus overtime. Final rate wage based on experience.
