Task DescriptionJoin the Board of Directors at the Yukon Status of Women Council!
Since 1972, the Yukon Status of Women Council has been working towards women’s equity at the systems level, amplifying women’s voices, and mobilizing knowledge on the issues that most impact them. Our work focuses on research, education, and systems advocacy and is grounded in relationships, responsiveness, relevance, and reciprocity.
As a project-driven organization, our work spans a variety of issues that emerge from the community. Currently, we have projects working on issues related to access to sexual and reproductive health, supporting sex worker rights, housing, mining and the environment and intimate partner violence and family law. Your work as a Board Member would include attending bi-monthly meetings, supervising the management of YSWC activities and internal affairs and supporting the Executive Director in the governance of the YSWC.
